Overview

  • The official portal https://www.gob.mx/ActaNacimiento has been the national site for birth certificates since August 1, consolidating civil registry services and replacing the previous page.
  • Completing the federal trĂ¡mite requires a Llave MX digital identity, which can be created with CURP and contact details via the official registration steps published at www.llave.gob.mx.
  • Users can locate their record with CURP, pay online, and download a certified PDF that can be printed on letter-size paper for official use at any time.
  • In Mexico City, requests run through actas.cdmx.gob.mx using verified Llave CDMX accounts to authenticate, preview the record, pay, and download the document.
  • Fees are set by each state and can be paid by card for immediate confirmation or via a capture line that may take up to 72 hours to reflect; in CDMX the 2025 online fee is reported at 94 pesos.
