- Guerrero accounted for 1,235 epicenters, including the year’s strongest event, a magnitude 6.5 quake on January 2.
- Of all events, 81 reached magnitude 4.0 or higher, 987 measured 3.0–3.9, and 627 were 3.0 or lower.
- Baja California Sur logged 80 quakes, mostly below magnitude 2.0, concentrated near San José del Cabo.
- Northern states such as Sonora and Sinaloa recorded few events but included quakes of magnitude 4.0 or higher, contrasting with Zacatecas’ more frequent yet very small shocks.
