Mexico Launches Public AI Training Center With Enrollment Open Through Dec. 6

  • President Claudia Sheinbaum and Mexico City head Clara Brugada unveiled the Centro Público de Formación en Inteligencia Artificial at TecNM Tláhuac as a pillar of the 'México, país de innovación' strategy.
  • Registration for the first intake is open Nov. 6–Dec. 6 at labmexia.gob.mx, with hybrid delivery via the SaberesMx platform and in‑person options at 10 TecNM campuses across CDMX, Mérida, Tijuana, Morelos, Veracruz, Puebla, Morelia, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas and Nayarit.
  • The inaugural cohort will include 10,000 students in an intensive course running January–June 2026, with a reported second cohort of 15,000 planned for the second half of 2026.
  • The curriculum offers 20 specializations across artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud, Java and cybersecurity, includes mentorship and English instruction, and grants dual certification from public institutions and participating technology companies.
