Mexico Launches Nationwide Multi-Agency Summer Safety Operation

This initiative employs coordinated command systems to mobilize thousands of military, federal, local personnel in protection of beaches, highways, airports across Mexico.

Overview

  • The Secretariat of the Navy has deployed 2,323 personnel and 271 units—23 ships, 97 small vessels, three aircraft and 148 ground vehicles—across 34 naval stations under Operación Salvavidas Verano 2025.
  • The Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor has stationed over 350 public servants at major airports, bus terminals, tourist zones and consumption centers to monitor prices, handle complaints and offer consumer guidance.
  • In Sinaloa, the national Operativo Vacacional de Verano mobilized more than 9,100 federal, state and municipal agents linked through a C4 network, backed by 1,154 vehicles, eight helicopters and 94 ambulances.
  • Guerrero’s statewide security campaign led by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda engages over 6,000 personnel and 1,037 units—including patrols, boats, ambulances, helicopters—to support an expected one million tourists.
