- The initiative was unveiled at Palacio Nacional by Concanaco chief Octavio de la Torre alongside President Claudia Sheinbaum.
- Business registration opens on September 4 through Concanaco and ANEF, with the first nationwide activation on September 26 and recurring events every last Friday of the month.
- Participating shops will display a sticker reading “Aquí se vive un Viernes Muy Mexicano” and a QR code that directs consumers to a digital map of nearby offers.
- The voluntary program invites merchants, artisans, service providers, producers, tourism operators and manufacturers to offer promotions plus local experiences and regional fairs.
- Local uptake is underway as chambers and municipalities join, including Canacope Monterrey, CANACO Morelia and Cuautitlán Izcalli, alongside a national publicity drive planned for September.
