Overview
- The program was published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on May 28 and came into force on Friday, May 29, 2026.
- Eligible beneficiaries are micro transportistas with 1–5 units and small transportistas with 6–30 units whose main activity is federal cargo or passenger transport.
- Applicants must hold a valid federal autotransport permit from SICT and show at least three years of operation to qualify for loans.
- Financing offers up to 15 million pesos or the dollar equivalent, with new vehicles financed up to 84 months and a 10% down payment and seminew vehicles up to 60 months with a 15% down payment under a risk‑sharing scheme with NAFIN and participating banks.
- SICT and industry groups say the plan targets an aging fleet of about 615,000 trucks, more than 385,000 of which are over 15 years old, and could improve safety, costs and emissions but real impact will hinge on outreach, interest rates set by lenders and the sustained availability of NAFIN guarantee budget.
