Mexico Launches Dual Bienestar Pension Enrollment With Fraud Warnings

Overview

  • Mujeres Bienestar registration for women aged 60–64 runs through Aug. 30 by alphabetical schedule and has reached 1.416 million enrollees with a 3.2 million target.
  • Registration for the Pensión Adultos Mayores for those 65+ opened Aug. 18–30, with the first MXN 6,200 bimonthly payments slated for September.
  • The Secretaría de Bienestar has issued repeated alerts about WhatsApp fraud promising credits or bonuses and stresses that all services are free via official portals and its 800-639-4264 hotline.
  • IMSS’s Modalidad 40 contributors can now make their monthly voluntary pension payments online via SPEI to avoid bank lines and secure their future benefits.
  • Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro participants will receive MXN 8,480 on Aug. 28 through Banco del Bienestar, while the disability pension program remains closed pending official notice.
