The reform begins September 1, delivering dual certification alongside updated technical careers endorsed by UNAM, IPN, UAM and TecNM.

Overview

  • SEP says the Marco Curricular Común takes effect on September 1 for the 2025–2026 school year, unifying all upper‑secondary subsystems under the Bachillerato Nacional.
  • At the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, President Claudia Sheinbaum led the launch of the first school cycle with participation from institutions including IPN and TecNM.
  • CBTIS No. 302 was inaugurated in Reynosa as the fifth of 20 new campuses planned for 2025, offering programs in artificial intelligence, microelectronics and semiconductors, robotics and automation.

  • The federal plan targets expanded access so no student is left without a place, and in Tamaulipas authorities report 283,000 scholarships, 1,120 LEEN‑supported schools and 4 million free textbooks.
