Overview
- The Plan General Lázaro Cárdenas targets over 1,000 km of federal and state roads to address a long-standing infrastructure deficit in the Mixteca Oaxaqueña.
- In 2025, more than 2,000 million pesos were allocated to five key segments, including Nochixtlán–Huajuapan de León and Putla de Guerrero–Pinotepa Nacional, with 425 km slated for rehabilitation this year.
- Caminos y Puentes Federales has already completed hydraulic concrete repairs and slope reconstructions on stretches between Oaxaca and Nochixtlán.
- Early implementation has created 4,650 direct jobs and is expected to benefit about 4.1 million residents by cutting travel times and improving access to services.
- Full execution runs through 2027 under the Secretariat of Infrastructure’s oversight, following directives from President Sheinbaum and coordination with state authorities.
