Mexico Hosts Summit to Standardize Protections for Journalists and Human Rights Defenders

Representatives from all 32 states with international observers evaluated the rollout of a homologated protocol for investigating crimes against freedom of expression.

  • Subsecretary Arturo Medina reaffirmed that the government works daily to defend freedom of expression and safeguard human rights defenders and journalists.
