Overview
- SMN projects intense rainfall of 75–150 mm in parts of Durango and very strong totals of 50–75 mm in Zacatecas, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
- A new cold front meeting a low‑pressure channel is set to trigger very strong storms in Tamaulipas and Nuevo León and strong rains in San Luis Potosí and Coahuila with electrical activity and 40–60 km/h gusts.
- Strong to moderate rains are forecast across wide areas including Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Estado de México, Puebla, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
- Dangerous heat persists with highs of 40–45 °C in Campeche and Yucatán and widespread 35–40 °C elsewhere, while Hermosillo may see a post‑rain temperature rebound with heat sensations near 50 °C and mountain zones could dip to 0–5 °C at dawn.
- Winds of 20–30 km/h with 40–60 km/h gusts are expected across northern, central and coastal regions, and Pacific swell of 1.5–2.5 m is forecast as authorities urge precautions for flooding, landslides, wind damage and heat illness.
