Overview
- Education Secretary Mario Delgado said the rollout will add 6th, 5th and 4th grades in January 2026 and 3rd, 2nd and 1st grades in September 2026.
- The Secretaría de Educación Pública projects the program will reach more than 20 million students nationwide once primary grades are included.
- According to SEP figures, beneficiaries grew from 5,603,611 to 8,864,448 during the 2024–2025 school year, supported by 75 billion pesos in funding.
- Beneficiary households rose 68.7% to 7,041,356, and nine in ten students in public secondary schools in the escolarizada modality already receive a scholarship.
- For the 2025–2026 school year, secondary-level support stands at 1,900 pesos every two months per family, plus 700 pesos for each additional secondary student.
