Overview
- Gov. Alejandro Armenta announced 395 million pesos for 2025 with a projected 1.5 billion pesos by 2026 to finance the basin-wide effort.
- Federal commissioner Alejandro Isauro Martínez said 234 million pesos in works are contracted to remove 210 direct discharges in four municipalities, with 5–10% physical progress expected by year-end and a 30‑kilometer section delivered in 2026.
- State and municipal authorities reported 161 million pesos invested this year across nine municipalities for three wastewater plants, 409 biodigesters, new collectors, drainage and desilting.
