Mexico Confirms Nov. 20 Revolution Parade at 10 a.m., Debuts Zócalo‑to‑Monumento Route

Officials say the new route is meant to improve flow, with closures, security deployments and viewing options now published.

Overview

  • Sedena set the parade for Thursday, Nov. 20 at 10:00 a.m., with a first‑time route from the Zócalo to the Monument to the Revolution via 5 de Mayo, Avenida Juárez, Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida de la República.
  • Defense Secretary Gen. Ricardo Trevilla Trejo led the formal review and final rehearsal at Campo Militar No. 1 as contingents and vehicles staged for the event.
  • About 3,000 members of the Army, Air Force and National Guard will participate alongside roughly 23 aircraft and around 500 cavalry horses, including historical groupings and aerial demonstrations.
  • The SSC announced a security operation of about 3,000 personnel, including some 800 transit officers and helicopter overflights, and listed closures across the Zócalo, 5 de Mayo, Juárez, Reforma and Avenida de la República with suggested alternates such as Circuito Interior, Eje 1 Norte, Eje 1 Oriente, Chapultepec and Constituyentes.
  • Regional commemorations proceeded Monday: Guadalajara held a civic‑sports parade with more than 2,500 participants, and Monterrey imposed downtown road closures and offered free Metro service from 8:00 to 14:00 for its local parade; national coverage will stream on Sedena and Government of Mexico channels and air on Canal 22.
