Mexico Clarifies Disability Pension Access for Men 30–64 as 24 States Move to Implement

The 3,200‑peso bimonthly support is the existing disability benefit that requires a certified permanent disability, and officials have not yet announced registration dates.

Overview

  • In 24 states, men aged 30–64 with permanent disabilities will be able to enroll for the MXN 3,200 bimonthly disability pension, while Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Querétaro restrict eligibility to ages 0–29.
  • Registration will take place at Módulos del Bienestar and requires birth certificate, official ID, CURP, recent proof of address and a medical certificate of permanent disability issued by a public health institution.
  • Applicants unable to attend in person may designate an auxiliary with proof of relationship, and home registration can be requested in special cases, according to program guidance.
  • Officials and outlets caution that this is not a universal pension for men 30–64; it is the disability program, distinct from the MXN 6,200 bimonthly senior pension (65+) and the MXN 3,000 support for women aged 60–64.
  • Separately, Pensión Mujeres Bienestar cards are being delivered in October and early November, with first deposits expected in November; initial delivery is only to the beneficiary with photo verification, and those who cannot attend can request home delivery or consult their appointment via SMS or CURP lookup.
