Overview

  • The SGIRPC issued Orange alerts for Álvaro Obregón, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Miguel Hidalgo and Tlalpan and Yellow alerts for the remaining ten alcaldías in response to overnight heavy rains.
  • Operativo Tlaloque crews have attended 49 waterlogging sites and Segiagua deployed over 100 personnel to clear drainage at 34 key locations, resolving 12 immediately.
  • Firefighters and traffic management teams tackled 15 flooded areas, removed fallen trees and addressed electrical short circuits to maintain road safety.
  • Authorities measured more than 8.7 million cubic meters of rain across the capital, with Xochimilco’s Reclusorio Sur station recording a peak of 36.5 millimeters.
  • Conagua warns of further heavy showers, lightning strikes and 30–40 km/h gusts this morning, and Protección Civil urges residents to carry rain gear and avoid inundated roads.
