Mexico City Sets Sept. 15–16 Transit Hours as Zócalo Station Closes

Extended Metrobús departures will support Grito night travelers with nearby stations serving access to the Centro Histórico.

Overview

  • The Metro will run a holiday timetable on Tuesday, Sept. 16, operating from 07:00 to 24:00 across the network with the bicycle program in effect.
  • Zócalo-Tenochtitlán station remains closed until further notice, with Pino Suárez, Bellas Artes, Allende and San Juan de Letrán designated as alternatives.
  • Metrobús will offer late-night departures on Monday, Sept. 15, including Line 1 (Indios Verdes 00:30, El Caminero 00:00), Line 2 (Tepalcates/Tacubaya 00:00), Line 3 (Tenayuca 23:15, Pueblo Santa Cruz Atoyac 00:30), Line 5 (Río de los Remedios 00:30, Preparatoria 1 00:15) and Line 7 (Indios Verdes 00:00, La Diana 01:00, Campo Marte 23:45).
  • On Sept. 16, Metrobús service will operate from 05:00 to 00:00 across all stations.
  • Other modes post adjusted hours for Sept. 16: RTP 06:00–00:00, Trolebús 06:00–23:30 with Aztecas starting 05:00, Tren Ligero and Cablebús 06:00–23:00, Ecobici 05:00–00:30, and Ecoparq will not operate.
