Mexico City Sets Nov. 20 Revolution Parade for 10 a.m. on New Zócalo-to-Monumento Route

Security authorities detailed a 3,000-person operation along the revised route to manage closures and crowd movement.

Overview

  • Sedena confirmed the national civic‑military parade will take place on Thursday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m., maintaining the official date despite the long‑weekend shift.
  • For the first time, the route will run from the Zócalo to the Monumento a la Revolución, passing 5 de Mayo, Eje Central, Avenida Juárez, Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida de la República.
  • Mexico City’s SSC will deploy about 3,000 personnel, including 800 transit officers, patrols, motorcycles and Cóndor helicopters along the route.
  • Drivers are urged to avoid the Historic Center early, with suggested alternatives including Circuito Interior, Anillo Periférico, Eje 1 Oriente, Fray Servando and Puente de Alvarado–Ribera de San Cosme.
  • The event will stream live on Sedena and Government of Mexico accounts and air on open TV such as Canal 22, while Monterrey held its local parade on November 17 with downtown closures and free Metro service from 8:00 to 14:00.
