Mexico City Sets Aug. 24 Opening for Three Trolebús Line 11 Stations in Chalco

The move advances a phased rollout that expands transfers to Metro Line A, Trolebús Line 10, Cablebús Line 2.

Overview

  • The Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos confirmed that Unión de Guadalupe, Covadonga and Ejidal will open to passengers on Sunday, August 24.
  • Service at the new stations will run from 4:30 to 00:30 Monday through Saturday and from 5:00 to 00:00 on Sundays and holidays.
  • Officials completed trial runs through the three Chalco stops to verify proper vehicle passage before starting regular service.
  • Line 11 spans 33.5 kilometers from Chalco to Santa María de la Ribera and integrates with Trolebús Line 10, Metro Line A and Cablebús Line 2.
  • Nine stations have operated since May 18, and further openings will follow testing, with Xico, La Virgen and Teotongo still pending.
