- President Claudia Sheinbaum inaugurated the refurbished Module XI in Terminal 1, marking a visible milestone in the AICM modernization effort.
- The renovation covered about 6,400 square meters with an investment of roughly 55.24 million pesos funded by self‑generated airport income.
- Works did not affect landings or takeoffs and focused on the international gates 29–36 last‑wait area, access corridor, separated arrival flows, and the remote‑bus vestibule.
- Upgrades included granite flooring, new baffle ceilings, tactile guides, LED lighting, roof waterproofing, remodeled and additional bathrooms, refreshed façades, overhauled electrical and plumbing, HVAC repairs, CCTV maintenance, new seating, planters, flight information screens, and digital signage.
- The first users were passengers from Avianca’s Costa Rica flight and Emirates from Dubai, further airline operations will phase in as other fronts progress in T1 and T2 alongside drainage planning work in the regulation lagoon with Semar, SICT, Conagua and AFAC.
