Overview

• Officers spotted three individuals manipulating a firearm at the Periférico and Martínez de Chimalhuacán junction in Colonia Chinampac de Juárez before conducting a stop.
• Authorities secured a short-barrel firearm with six rounds, 105 small baggies of suspected marijuana, two bulk packages (about two kilograms) of the same drug, a bag of suspected crystal meth, two phones, cash and a black vehicle.
• Cross-checked intelligence identified Daniel Eduardo “El Chaparro” as the alleged head of the H1-A1 cell tied to La Nueva Familia Michoacana.
• Two other suspects, Julio Arturo “N” and Alejandra Esparza López (reported also as Alejandra N.), were detained alongside “El Chaparro.”
• All detainees, evidence and the vehicle were handed over to the Ministerio Público of the Fiscalía CDMX to initiate a case file and determine charges.
