  • The city says an initial rollout will target about 500 primary and secondary schools before expanding citywide.
  • The program is being implemented through agreements with the federal Education Ministry (SEP) and the Federal Education Authority in Mexico City.
  • Each classroom package includes 30 high-performance computers, 60 tablets, a touch digital board with camera, VR headset, 3D printer, digital telescope, projector with laptop, and microcontrollers, with an estimated cost of about 500,000 pesos per classroom.
  • Reporting notes the program’s success will hinge on installation capacity and ongoing maintenance in schools that face physical deficiencies and basic service gaps.
