Overview
- Fifty-two paving trains have been working since October 7 on the first 69 priority corridors, with operations scheduled primarily overnight to reduce traffic disruption.
- Early work includes Avenida Constituyentes, where 4.6 of 8 kilometers are under intervention (55,000 m² total, 7,200 m² already renewed), and Paseo de la Reforma, with 3.9 of 6 kilometers slated (34,900 m² total, about 7,100 m² advanced).
- The first phase runs October–December 2025 and January–May 2026, followed by a second phase from October 2026 to May 2027 to extend the program to roughly half of the primary network.
- Crews are milling about 7.5 cm of old surface and laying new asphalt across nine access-controlled corridors such as Constituyentes, Zaragoza, Periférico, Viaducto and Calzada de Tlalpan, with plans to tackle the city’s eje viales next and to use more than 650,000 tons of asphalt.
- Tlalpan launched a 24/7 street rehabilitation plan to address rain damage, allocating over 50 million pesos this year plus 33 million for Ajusco Medio, with day-night crews and a citizen reporting system for rapid response.
