Overview
- As of July 8, the Ingreso Ciudadano Universal program has enrolled 71,000 residents aged 57 to 59 who receive 2,000 pesos every two months.
- Officials say the program is six thousand registrations shy of the 2025 goal of 77,000 beneficiaries as they work toward expanding annual enrollment until all eligible residents are covered.
- Registration continues at alcaldía modules, requiring applicants to submit official ID, birth certificate, CURP and a proof of address no older than three months.
- The program does not discriminate by neighborhood poverty or social security status and allows multiple eligible family members to each receive the full support.
- Complementary fairs in all 16 alcaldías are providing employment, health, education and legal-advice services alongside the cash transfers.
