  • Observatorio, Tacubaya and Juanacatlán reopened today, restoring full Pantitlán–Observatorio service after an 11:00 reinauguration, with free rides on Line 1 from 13:30 for the reopening day.
  • The line now fields 39 NM‑22 trains, including 29 newly acquired units, plus a new LTE communications network, roughly 5,000 CCTV cameras and updated automatic train control cabling.
  • Authorities estimate about 800,000 daily riders on the refurbished corridor, with peak headways targeted at around two minutes.
  • The city confirmed the Metro fare remains at 5 pesos despite the extensive upgrades.
  • Metro service will run on a holiday schedule Monday, Nov. 17 (07:00–00:00) with bicycles allowed, and the next major project targets Line 3 with definitive station closures planned for December 2026.
