Mexico City Enforces Saturday ‘Hoy No Circula’ Limits From 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Officials urge drivers to verify eligibility on the city's site to support routine pollution control.

Overview

  • Hologram 1 vehicles with even-numbered plates (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) and all Hologram 2 vehicles are barred from circulating this Saturday from 05:00 to 22:00.
  • The rules apply across all 16 boroughs of Mexico City and in 18 conurbated State of Mexico municipalities within the metropolitan area.
  • Exempt vehicles include those with Hologram 00 or 0, emergency units, public transport, motorcycles, electric or hybrid cars with 0 or 00, and vehicles with disability plates.
  • Vehicles with foreign or out‑of‑area plates do not circulate on Saturdays from 05:00 to 22:00 and face weekday restrictions from 05:00 to 11:00.
  • Drivers can check their status at hoynocircula.cdmx.gob.mx, and violations can draw fines of 20–30 UMAs (about 2,075–3,113 pesos); morning monitoring reported mostly good to acceptable air quality with NO2, PM10 and PM2.5 present.
