- Nelson Arturo “N” (29) was detained in Mexico City alongside Venezuelans Lucas Alberto Vielma Rojas (37) and Marcos Gabriel Ortega Sotillo (36).
- The security secretary said Nelson is regarded as the intellectual and material author of several femicides and as the Tren de Aragua’s principal operator in Mexico.
- Officials report the trio is tied to human trafficking, organized crime, kidnapping, extortion and drug offenses, with Nelson also wanted for drug crimes and criminal association.
- Investigators link the cell’s activities to Puebla, Morelos, the State of Mexico and multiple Mexico City boroughs, and they report seizing 92 marijuana doses, 44 of crystal and 18 of crack plus two phones and cash at the time of arrest.
- The detainees were placed with the public prosecutor after an intelligence-led action by SSPC, Sedena, Semar, FGR, the National Guard, Mexico City’s SSC and the capital’s FGJ.
