Mexico City Authorities Arrest Alleged Los Rudos Extortionist in Iztapalapa

The warrant followed evidence linking a series of Cuautepec merchant shakedowns to the suspect.

Overview

  • The 43-year-old woman, identified as Olivia Aidé “N,” was detained near Reclusorio Oriente under a court-issued order for continued aggravated extortion.
  • SSC officers working with the Mexico City prosecutor’s office executed the arrest after complaints from traders in Gustavo A. Madero’s Cuautepec area and neighboring parts of the State of Mexico.
  • Prosecutors say she is a presumed member of the Los Rudos cell and is reportedly the partner of its imprisoned leader, Julio Kevin “R,” known as “El Chuletas.”
  • Investigators delivered evidence to a Control Judge through the Public Ministry, which led to issuance of the apprehension order that was read to the detainee along with her constitutional rights.
  • In a separate action the same day, police arrested Luis Dante “N” in Xochimilco for allegedly demanding 50,000 pesos to avoid a property seizure, and officers recovered the cash.
