Overview
- From October 1, sala 52 in the north pier and sala 63 in the south pier of Terminal 2 closed for staged interventions intended to limit passenger disruption.
- Terminal 2 also has active work fronts in the arrivals and departures walkway, the aerotrain terminal, the connections corridor, baggage claim for flights from Central and South America, domestic belts 6–8, and sanitary cores.
- Terminal 1 continues renovations in pre-waiting room B, gates 24–28 (module 5), the corridor between doors 1 and 3, domestic baggage belts 1–3, the migration hall, international boarding bay F2, passenger checkpoints A2 and G, the aerotrain terminal, and the main façade.
- The overhaul includes replacing floors, cleaning and repainting walls, installing new ceilings and lighting, rehabilitating sanitary cores, waterproofing roofs, and upgrading electrical systems.
- Authorities say work zones are clearly signposted and isolated, and the phased schedule is designed to preserve normal flight operations.
