  • Federal forces arrested Ulises Pinto Madera, alias El Mamado, in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, on July 23, identifying him as the second-in-command of the CJNG-linked La Barredora cell.
  • Operación Frontera Norte units dismantled three criminal camps in San Ignacio, Sinaloa, confiscating over 2,100 rounds of ammunition, 80 improvised explosives and chemicals for drug production.
  • A Grupo Interinstitucional de Seguridad raid on a Culiacán hotel resulted in six arrests—including three minors—and the seizure of assault rifles, ammunition, narcotics and stolen vehicles.
  • Tijuana municipal and federal officers detained four individuals for firing shots at a funeral in Monte de los Olivos cemetery, confiscating two handguns, a rifle and a Ford Explorer.
  • Operation Liberación in southern Estado de México resulted in eight arrests of alleged La Familia Michoacana extortionists, who have been remanded to two state prisons on charges of extortion and kidnapping.
