Mexico Births Fall to 1.67 Million in 2024, Inegi Finds Wide State Gaps

  • Other high‑rate states included Durango (58.9) and Nayarit (58.6), compared with lower rates in Yucatán (38.1) and Hidalgo (38.3).
  • Adolescent fertility remains concentrated in specific states based on 2023 data, with Guerrero (82.1), Chiapas (78.6), Zacatecas (74.4) and Durango (71.5) far above the national teen average of 45.2.
