Overview
- From January 9, users nationwide must complete the linkage during the first half of 2026, with registrations due by the end of June or service will be restricted.
- The requirement covers all lines—prepaid, postpaid, existing, new activations and eSIMs—for individuals and legal entities, with a cap of up to 10 lines per person.
- Registration can be done remotely or in person using an INE or passport and CURP; remote flows include selfie-based proof of life, and new lines must be registered within 30 days of activation.
- Unregistered lines will be suspended starting around July 1, allowing only emergency calls and contact with the operator until the process is completed.
- Operators must protect personal data and retain only minimal fields, and the rules order user and provider platforms so people can verify numbers tied to their identity and request delinking; major carriers began enabling registration as early as January 7.
