- Authorities collected the first 30 tonnes on December 10 in Morelia, where packaging starts for provisional sales as “La mejor lenteja de México” through January.
- The permanent “Lenteja del Bienestar” label is slated to reach more than 25,000 Tiendas del Bienestar nationwide by late January 2026.
- The initial purchase window targets about 700 tonnes from 253 producers in Coeneo and Huaniqueo, running from December 2025 to July 2026.
- Small producers report roughly 550 tonnes already secured for commercialization under the program.
- Logistics are centered in the Morelia operational unit, with government buying without intermediaries to shorten the value chain and channel the grain into the Bienestar network.
