Overview

  • Mara Lezama and Education Secretary Mario Delgado broke ground on CBTIS 301 in Cancún’s Cuna Maya, a three‑level campus planned to serve 900 students with a 62.5 million peso budget.
  • The Cancún project will be executed by IFEQROO with 18 educational spaces, including 12 classrooms, a multifunction lab, three workshops, a computer room, inclusive areas and full equipment.
  • In Hidalgo, Delgado supervised construction progress at CBTIS 293 in Tizayuca, which is targeted for completion in December and will open with an initial intake of 450 students.
  • SICT is building the Tizayuca campus with a 49.6 million peso investment on a 14,000 m² site donated by the municipal government and valued at 35 million pesos.
  • Both campuses will operate under the new Sistema Nacional de Bachillerato from Sept. 1, granting dual general and technical certificates endorsed by top universities as part of a broader federal expansion of upper‑secondary coverage.
