Overview
- A third E195-E2, registered XA-MXC, arrived at the AIFA hub and was presented in a formal reception after a ferry flight from Manaus.
- Commercial service with the new E2 fleet begins Monday, 25 August, with a 10:00 AIFA–Tulum inaugural operated by aircraft XA-MXA.
- The aircraft form part of a 20-jet E190/E195-E2 order with deliveries running through 2027, including two additional E195-E2s slated for November and December 2025.
- The new arrivals will enable Mexicana to return the three Boeing 737-800 NGs it operates to the Fuerza Aérea Mexicana.
- Mexicana highlights a 132-seat layout and roughly 25% lower fuel burn on the E195-E2 as it recruits pilots, cabin crew and ground staff for expansion.
