Overview
- State health authorities opened coordinated winter campaigns beginning Monday, with public launches reported in Tamaulipas, Baja California Sur, Guanajuato and Nuevo León.
- Guanajuato set a goal of more than 1.7 million doses, Nuevo León announced about 1.77 million influenza doses and 902,343 COVID-19 doses, and Baja California Sur aims for roughly 219,000 influenza and 87,000 COVID-19 doses.
- For the first time the seasonal drive includes a maternal RSV shot given at 34–36 weeks to protect babies during their first months and officials say there are enough doses to meet demand.
- States opened hundreds of vaccination points, prioritized infants, children, pregnant people, older adults and people with comorbidities, and used public inoculations by officials to promote uptake.
- Authorities stressed early vaccination because immunity develops in about 14 days, and some states highlighted high past coverage and the absence of measles cases in 2026 to build public confidence and lower winter hospitalizations.
