Overview
- During a ground patrol near El Dorado, Sinaloa, Semar secured an apparently abandoned vehicle holding 2 AR-15s, 2 AK-47s, 19 magazines and about 540 rounds, plus tactical vests, ballistic plates and radios.
- One person was detained in the El Dorado action, with the detainee, the vehicle and the seized materiel transferred to the federal prosecutor’s office in Culiacán for investigation.
- Separate Sinaloa operations included an Escuinapa seizure in the Juárez neighborhood of 11 long guns, 2 handguns, 27 magazines, 200 cartridges, 4 grenades, 4 improvised explosive devices and 4 kilograms of chemical substances.
- In October’s Refuerzo CDMX deployment, Semar reported 881 people and 668 vehicles inspected, 46 detentions, 23 properties secured, 9 firearms seized and roughly 5,553 suspected drug doses plus about 121 tonnes of auto parts.
- Semar also supported cargo-verification checkpoints in the capital and a vaccination drive that delivered 1,418 doses.
