Mexican Navy Executes Historic 8.3-Tonne Drug Seizure

In a record-breaking maritime operation, 23 individuals were detained as authorities intercepted drugs worth over $100 million off Mexico's southwestern coast.

The operation took place off the Pacific coast near Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan, and Guerrero state.
Authorities seized six boats, including a submersible, highlighting the complexity of the operation.
The Mexican navy also confiscated 8,700 liters of fuel along with the illicit cargo.
This bust is the largest maritime drug seizure in the history of Mexico's navy.
The detainees and seized materials have been handed over to relevant authorities for further investigation.
