La suba del dólar en julio y el incremento de las tasas de interés han puesto en jaque el delicado equilibrio del programa económico argentino.

Overview

  • Mexico’s annual inflation slowed to 3.51% in July, its lowest since December 2020, driven by a 12.1% year-on-year drop in fruit and vegetable prices.
  • Mexico’s producer price index decelerated to a 3.77% annual increase in July, the weakest since May 2024 following a 0.48% monthly decline.
  • Buenos Aires recorded a 2.5% CPI increase in July, up from 2.1% in June, led by higher costs in restaurants, transportation and recreational services.
  • Produce prices in Buenos Aires’ Mercado Central rose 4.5% month-on-month in July due to domestic supply constraints and imports of Chilean tomatoes at more than a 115% premium.
  • Early-August surveys show Argentine food and beverage prices jumping 2% weekly, marking the largest weekly gain since March after July’s peso depreciation.
