- Jorge Heras was attacked at 7:56 a.m. on Aug. 26 outside the production house of his program Ciudad Capital in Mexicali’s Colonia Cuauhtémoc.
- Two men posing as public cleaners approached him asking for water, assaulted him, and told him “para que le bajes de huevos,” according to his account.
- Authorities say surveillance video captured the two attackers and a third person waiting in a getaway vehicle, and they are using the images to identify the suspects with public help.
- The Fiscalía General del Estado and Municipal Police opened an investigation for lesiones calificadas, no arrests have been reported, and paramedics treated Heras at the scene.
