Mets Shift Saturday Home Games to Earlier Start Times

The change, based on fan feedback, aims to accommodate families and large groups.

All Saturday home games at Citi Field between March 28 and May 25 will start at 1:40 p.m., and from June 1 to Sept. 21, the start time will move to 4:10 p.m.
The change in schedule is a result of a survey conducted by the Mets, which revealed that nearly 90% of respondents preferred earlier game times on Saturdays to accommodate children, families, and large groups.
Previously, the Mets alternated between late-afternoon and night games on Saturdays.
The shift in game times is seen as a rare instance of prioritizing in-person fans over television viewers.
Along with the change in game times, the Mets also announced their promotional schedule for the 2024 season, featuring giveaways such as a Hello Kitty light-up bobblehead and a pickleball paddle.
