Overview
- The PS5-native Metro Redux listing appeared Tuesday on PS Plus Premium without a formal announcement from Sony or publisher Deep Silver.
- Sony’s official product description lists native PS5 and PS5 Pro support with true 4K at 60 FPS, upscaled 4K at 120 FPS with PSSR on PS5 Pro, higher-resolution textures, improved lighting and particle effects, better animations and audio, low energy mode, and real-time hardware tessellation.
- The PS5 edition adds DualSense features, including adaptive trigger support, to increase controller-level immersion during combat.
- Because Metro Exodus was added earlier to PS Plus Extra, the Redux addition lets subscribers play the full Metro trilogy natively on PS5 through Sony’s subscription tiers and the complete November PS Plus lineup will be revealed on November 11 with Extra and Premium games going live November 17.
- This catalog update follows 4A Games’ free October next‑gen technical refresh for Redux and appears timed to boost access and player interest ahead of Metro 2039’s February 4, 2027 release.
