Overview
- The Metro will limit Line 12 service to Mixcoac–San Andrés Tomatlán from Saturday, September 12 through Wednesday, September 16 to allow work that requires the track to be clear.
- Trains will not run on the elevated Tláhuac–Lomas Estrella segment and the closed stations are Tláhuac, Tlaltenco, Zapotitlán, Nopalera, Olivos, Tezonco, Periférico Oriente, Calle 11 and Lomas Estrella.
- Planned works include replacing the 13-23 track apparatus, swapping 140 wooden sleepers for concrete, placing about 300 cubic meters of ballast, and correcting 600 linear metres of track alignment and profile.
- RTP will operate special shuttle buses covering Tláhuac to Atlalilco with stops at San Andrés Tomatlán and Culhuacán to ease passenger transfers during the closure.
- The announcement follows short-term rain measures on September 9 that triggered reduced-speed 'marcha de seguridad' on six lines and a brief Line 2 rescue, and the Metro has denied a circulated fraudulent closure notice while urging users to follow official channels for updates.
