Meta's New v60 Update for Quest VR Headsets Enhances Performance, Adds Features, and Removes Smartphone Notifications

Meta has released a new v60 update for its Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro VR headsets, which includes performance upgrades, new home environments, and a feature called 'Profile Power-Up' that allows users to see shared experiences and connections.
The performance upgrade allows higher clock speeds for the Quest Pro's CPU and GPU, reportedly increasing their speed by 34% and 19% respectively, particularly while running mixed-reality applications.
The new home environments include 'Blue Hill Gold Mine', 'Storybook', and 'Lakeside Peak', offering users more personalized spaces to hang out and watch Meta Quest TV content together before jumping into a multiplayer experience.
With the 'Profile Power-Up', users can see shared experiences and connections when visiting other users' profiles, such as mutual friends and apps both users have explored.
However, the v60 update also removes the feature that allowed users to see notifications from their smartphones while using the Quest VR headsets.
