Metaplanet has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 4,046 BTC after purchasing 696 BTC for $58.5 million.
The company funded its latest acquisition by issuing a 2 billion yen ($13.3 million) zero-coupon bond, redeemable in September 2025.
It now ranks as the ninth-largest publicly listed holder of Bitcoin, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.
Metaplanet has been added to the BetaShares Crypto Innovators ETF with the largest weighting of 15.5%, surpassing major crypto firms like MicroStrategy and Coinbase.
The firm's stock price has surged over 51% in the past month, reflecting strong investor confidence despite market volatility.
