Creators can now expand their reach as Meta rolls out AI voice translations on Reels.

Overview

  • Creators can auto‑translate Reels between English and Spanish with AI that clones their voice and can optionally lip‑sync to match mouth movements.
  • Eligibility covers all public Instagram accounts and Facebook creators with 1,000+ followers, with translated videos clearly labeled as generated by Meta AI.
  • Creators can preview and remove translations or lip‑sync at any time, while viewers can adjust settings to limit translated reels in selected languages.
  • Coverage reports availability exclusions in some regions despite the broad rollout, including the EU, UK, South Korea, Brazil, Australia, Nigeria, Turkey, South Africa, and certain U.S. states such as Texas and Illinois.
  • New Insights show views by language, Facebook creators can upload up to 20 manual dubbed tracks via Business Suite, and Meta advises face‑to‑camera, clear speech with no overlapping speakers; more languages are planned.
