Creators can now expand their reach as Meta rolls out AI voice translations on Reels.

Overview

  • The rollout is live in markets where Meta AI operates for all public Instagram accounts and Facebook creators with at least 1,000 followers, with availability excluded in the EU, UK, South Korea, Brazil, Australia, Nigeria, Turkey, South Africa, Texas and Illinois.
  • At launch the tool supports two‑way EnglishSpanish translation, generating a dubbed track in the creator’s own voice and optionally syncing mouth movements.
  • Creators enable the feature via the “Translate your voice with Meta AI” option before publishing, can preview results, adjust or remove lip‑sync, and turn off translations without changing the original reel.
  • Translated reels carry a Meta AI disclosure, are surfaced to viewers in their preferred language, and viewers can disable translations for select languages in settings.
  • Facebook creators can upload up to 20 self‑provided translated audio tracks via Meta Business Suite, and new Insights metrics report views by language to track reach.
