Meta Permanently Reduces Price of Quest 2 VR Headset and Accessories

Move Seen as Step Towards Phasing Out Older Model Following Launch of Quest 3

Meta has permanently reduced the price of its Quest 2 VR headset to $250 for the 128GB model and $300 for the 256GB model, following the launch of the Quest 3.
Prices for Quest 2 accessories have also been cut, with the Elite Strap with battery now priced at $90, down from $120.
The price reduction is seen as a move to clear stock and make room for the newer Meta Quest 3, and a first step towards phasing out the older VR headset.
Despite the price cut, the Quest 2 is still in production and new VR software is still launching for the hardware.
Meta's VR platform offers an extensive library of over 500 games, further bolstered by a significant deal last year that brought Roblox to the Quest headset via the Meta Quest Store.
