Overview

  • The rollout covers Instagram public accounts and Facebook creators with 1,000 or more followers in markets where Meta AI is available.
  • AI generates dubbed audio in the creator’s voice with an optional lip-sync feature, supporting EnglishSpanish at launch with more languages planned.
  • Creators can preview translations before posting and toggle translation or lip-sync off later without changing the original reel.
  • Translated reels are automatically shown to users in their selected language and carry a label disclosing translation by Meta AI, with viewer opt-outs available by language.
  • Insights now show views by language, and Facebook creators can upload up to 20 of their own dubbed tracks via Meta Business Suite; the release coincides with reports of a reorganization of Meta’s AI group.
