Meta Announces $10 Billion AI Data Center in Louisiana

The $10 billion project is expected to create 500 direct jobs, over 1,000 indirect jobs, and employ up to 5,000 construction workers at its peak.
The facility will rely entirely on clean and renewable energy, with Meta collaborating with Entergy to add 1,500 MW of new renewable energy to the grid.
Construction is expected to continue through 2030, with Meta committing over $200 million to local infrastructure improvements, including roads and water systems.
The project is part of Louisiana's broader strategy to position itself as a hub for AI innovation, supported by tax incentives and workforce development programs.
